Apple announced their first new iPod since 2015. I know most of us are using our phones for just about everything these days, but I’m still a fan of a dedicated music player.
The new iPod Touch will be the seventh generation of the device and will run on an A10 Fusion chip, which will make it twice as fast as before, according to Greg Joswiak, Apple’s vice president of Product Marketing. Sizes and retail for the new iPod are 32GB for $199; 128GB for $299; and 256GB for $399.
The iPod Nano and iPod Shuffle were discontinued in 2017 while Apple previously discontinued the iPod classic back in 2014.
