Disney Ride Jungle Cruise becomes a Movie

When I saw there was a trailer out for Disney’s Jungle Cruise, I immediately thought of this:

Not exactly far off. That is indeed the Jungle Cruise ride.

The movie though will star Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt and will be hitting theaters July 24th, 2020.

It has a Indiana Jones meets the Mummy type of vibe to me. The Archaeologist view with humor reminiscent to what we saw in the original Mummy movie.

Emily Blunt is an adventurer in search of a mystical tree with healing properties that hires riverboat captain Frank, played by Dwayne Johnson, to take her downriver to find it.

Jungle Cruise also stars Jack Whitehall, Édgar Ramírez, Jesse Plemons, and Paul Giamatti. It’s directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, who previously helmed the shark thriller The Shallows and the Liam Neeson action thrillers Non-Stop and The Commuter. It releases on July 24, 2020.

What are your initial thoughts on the Trailer?
