Ring Fit Adventure Log-A month Later

January 10th, 2020 is when I brought Ring Fit Adventure home, took a bunch of before measurements and photos, and got down to business.

Today, I took more photos, remeasured, and did some reflection on the results.

The results aren’t what anyone would hope for, but I’m not entirely dejected. It’s only been a month after all.  I’ve been averaging 2-3 workouts a week over the last several weeks.  There’s a heck of a lot of room there for improvement to start seeing something on the outside.

I won’t share the starting point just yet; I’ll give you the basic changes.  Weight is up 8 pounds.  Chest, thighs, and calves all grew about an inch.  While the waist stayed the same, the hips did go down about half an inch.

The real success is the things I’ve been talking about recently.  I’ve already boosted my stamina to go from 10-15-minute sessions to 20 + minutes in game. (Still rocking about an hour total from warm up to cool down.)  I’m motivated to play, and that motivation and excitement keeps going up.

Which is why this past weekend I spent a good chunk of time trying to figure out how to turn my streaming space into an area where I can stream Ring Fit Adventure in an effort to continue to keep myself accountable and push myself to do better.  In the last 24 hours I’ve ordered impact mats for my office, ordered some extension cables for the sport headphones I picked up today.  I had this fear of my cans flying off my head while I work out and I’d like to be able to hear the game while I play.  The office now has a second Switch dock so I’m not constantly tearing things down when I switch back and forth and we can just move the console between the office and living room when needed.  And we’ll be working on testing out the set up and possible DSLR camera change this week in the hopes that I can be up and fully running next week.

My posts about Ring Fit will slow down to once or twice a month to focus more on any progress health and fitness wise (and when I beat those damn mountain climbers.  Yes, I’m still salty about them.)

Until then, I hope you’ll join me when we’re set up and streaming this fun adventure!  See you then!
